Biography

Dr. Rene Mediavillo is a radiation oncologist that has radiation oncology facilities in Ozone Park and Jamaica, New York. He is affiliated with multiple hospitals in the area, including Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, Flushing Hospital, and South Nassau Communities Hospital. He received his medical degree from University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines and has been in practice for more than 40 years.

He did his Internship during his transitional year at the Catholic Medical Centers of Brooklyn and Queens. He did his residency for Radiation Oncology at SUNY Health Science Center at Brooklyn and subsequently, fellowship at the same institution. He is board certified by the American Board of Radiology and holds a NY State Medical License.

He first got involved with the KFI community when he and wife Eileen were invited by a fellow Doctor to attend a Marriage Encounter weekend retreat – ME-Class#26 at Edison, New Jersey in October 2007. They loved the weekend retreat and so with the ten deepening sessions. This is where they met Bro Conrad and Sis Bing Felix, the founding elders of the Koinonia community. After completing the deepening sessions and graduating from their ME Class they sponsored ME-Class 27, where they got more involved with the community by serving and offering their time, talent and treasure. Both Rene & Eileen were invited and later, committed to join the Joshua Evangelization Group (JEG) in July 2014 and were very instrumental in the efforts to acquire the incorporation and the 501c3 status of the organization in 2015.

He lives in Mill Neck, NY with his wife Eileen and two children.
